It’s that time of year again! And time for the annual St. Luke’s Christmas. Fair – a village event eagerly awaited by one and all. This is a time when the village hall is packed with stalls and folk hunting hard for presents.
This year we had a cake stall, Christmas decorations, the vicar doling out mulled wine, coffee and mince pies, two raffles and a tombola, not forgetting the magnificent gift stall manned by Mrs. Monty Don of Charcott and helpers – see picture. It’s a time when people gather not only to hunt for gifts but to meet and greet and exchange news over a cup of coffee and a mince pie. And off course it raises much needed funds for our local church, the tiny Victorian St. Lukes, Chiddingstone Causeway.
